John Slemmons Blackburn and his son arrived to Florida from Iowa. They purchased 250 acres of land, what is now Nokomis, FL. Today many of the landmarks in Nokomis, FL continue to be named after our family.

Although the area looks much different than it did then, we are proud to still call the area home. As 6th generation Blackburns, we are proud to keep the memories of our founding ancestors alive. For our family, this means living as simply and cleanly as we can by utilizing "old time" ingredients and practices. Unfortunately, this way of living has become extremely rare as the devil of convenience and greed takes over our country. In building this small business, we hope to share some of the things that are staples in our home. In addition to the goods that are handmade/grown in our home, there are also a few goods handcrafted by friends and family. Our promise to you is that every single item is non-toxic, handmade in the USA, and something that we are proud to use in our own home.
